This is a good start to a longer trip that can range from Poland to Italy or Portugal. At the same time, it is very charming in itself, so it is perfect for a short trip by car.

Schwarzwaldhochstraße starts in Baden-Baden and ends in Freudenstadt. Its length is 60 km, stretching through the famous Black Forest. During the journey, drivers can admire beautiful lakes, waterfalls, mountains and even traditional German towns.

Tremola San Gottardo – Switzerland

Among them, it is worth mentioning the Tremola San Gottardo route. What makes this route unique? It was built at an altitude of 2106 m above sea level, with as many as 24 sharp turns. This route is reserved for experienced drivers. However, it is worth choosing it because you can admire the amazing snow-capped mountains.

Stelvio Pass - Italy

You want to see the most beautiful driving routes in the Alps? The Stelvio Pass will be a hit. This is the highest passable road in these mountains. It connects Austria with Lombardy and South Tyrol.

The length of the pass is 50 m. There is a very difficult section on the route with as many as 48 turns - it is worth remembering if you do not feel confident behind the wheel. The road is full of wonderful views. From the route you can observe beautiful mountains, green pastures and traditional huts.

Trolls – Norway

Planning road trip around Europe, remember Scandinavia. Norway is home to one of the most beautiful driving roads in the world. It is part of route 63 from Andalsnes to Valldal and Geiranger. It consists of 11 switchbacks and is relatively steep.

It is on this route that there is a sign commonly known on the Internet - "Beware Trolls". When passing through Trolli, it is worth stopping for a moment and taking a photo. From the road you can also see an amazing waterfall, with an observation deck built next to it.

Transfagarasan Road – Romania

This road is very demanding, but it is worth the drive. This route is home to the longest tunnel in Romania and the amazing peaks of the Carpathians.

P14 – Montenegro

We remain in the Balkan region. Where else can you find it the most beautiful driving routes in Europe? It is impossible not to mention the P14 road in Montenegro. This is a relatively easy route, 50 km long. It stretches through the Durmitor National Park and reaches the town of Žabljak. What views can you count on from your car windows? The route runs through snow-capped peaks, green pastures and characteristic mountain meadows with colorful flowers.

Loire Valley – France

If you prefer traveling by car around the capitals of Europe, visit the Loire Valley. Why you should set this route in GPS navigation? It is located very close to Paris and stretches for 249 km. Near the road you can find the most famous castles - Chambord, Chenonceau, Villandry with gardens and Chinon. The route runs along the river, so there are no sharp turns.
