When asked “my car,” each of us drivers could tell many personal and interesting stories. And there is no end to them, because everyday life provides us with new topics. We love talking about them, we have become addicted to having them, and let’s not be afraid of this statement – cars have become part of our ego.

Dreams about four wheels come true

Just three decades ago in Poland it was much easier to pass a driving test than to own a car. It was supposedly available for official sale, but purchasing it was almost a miracle. There was an alternative in the form of stock exchanges or Peweks, but the prices demanded there were beyond the capabilities of the average Kowalski or Nowak.

But everyone could afford to dream about their own car. These came true with the economic changes at the turn of the 80s and 90s. Since then, the number of vehicles on Polish roads has been systematically increasing. According to data Polish Association of the Automotive Industry since 1990 alone, the number of registered passenger cars has quadrupled, exceeding 21 million units!

This means that statistically every second Pole owns four wheels. In fact, some of them are company vehicles, which is why the market is still unsaturated, and the number of drivers increases every month. Today, having a category B driving license is as obvious as watching color television.

Do you have a camper too?

In the second decade of the XNUMXst century, it is difficult to imagine life without a mobile phone or the Internet. It's similar with a car. Thanks to it, we are constantly traveling - to work, to kindergarten or school, shopping, to the cinema, to meet relatives and friends, for the weekend and on vacation, and sometimes we just drive without a destination. We spend enough time there every day to start treating it like a second home. And this makes us want to feel like we are in our own home - we relax with music, talk, read, eat, drink, fill the interior with our favorite scent...

Inadvertently, it becomes our calling card. Not only the brand, model, body type or paint color, but also the overall appearance says a lot about its owner. Therefore, such trivial activities as systematic washing of the body or wiping and cleaning windows and headlights. Details are also important - clean rims, black tires, shiny chrome... When you take into account the interior of the cabin, engine compartment and trunk, the list can be very long.

The fact that we like to have a well-kept car is proven by the wide range of cosmetics and automotive chemicals available in stores and gas stations. And if it were otherwise, their producers would certainly find another job.

Between us drivers

Topics of our daily conversations? Politics, health, finances, work, holiday plans and of course my car! At the same time, we complain about fuel prices, road conditions, traffic jams, lack of parking spaces and the behavior of others - pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, and drivers.

A nice break from these mundane topics are the technical news, market premieres and announcements of the near or distant future of the automotive industry. And this naturally gives rise to more dreams, so why not strive to make them come true?

Let's discuss all this here on the blog. This place is not only about us, but above all for us. Let's share experiences and observations, let's not be afraid to ask questions, and sometimes let's go to the side of the road. Boldly and not always seriously. Comment, share, write!
