Take care of your rugs

Thinking about it, how to prepare your car for winter – it is worth learning how to take care of the interior of the vehicle. It is worth starting with the right mats. Winter means rain, snow and mud, which the mats of every car have to deal with. It is worth taking care of them and cleaning them from time to time – without excessive moistening. Remember that the more water, the greater the humidity, and consequently – the fogging of the windows. Therefore, it is necessary to be moderate. Sometimes a good shaking or vacuuming is enough and these are the simplest and best methods that will help maintain the proper condition of these elements.

Door and cockpit upholstery

The finishing parts also get dirty when getting in and out. Any example? And yes, the door sill covers. Everyone knows that it is difficult not to touch them when you are in a hurry - regardless of the type of car. The longer we leave the dirt on them, the harder it will be to avoid visiting professionals. If possible, it is worth taking the appropriate one clothpreparation for plasticsto avoid dirt from penetrating into the structure of the material.

These, of course, are not the only components that get dirty in the cabin - especially in winter. In fact, all components that both humans and the transported luggage may come into contact with inside are exposed to dirt. In the case of more delicate textures (e.g. cockpit), it is worth trying to use moistened cloths that will cope with potential contamination typical for winter.

Windows – the basis of visibility

The humidity mentioned above is a very common problem at this time of year. It affects the car's glass, which fogs up. This in turn causes visibility problems. Before setting off, it is worth preventing such situations from occurring - to maintain safety. Importantly, they exist on the market measures to minimize the occurrence of evaporation. Thanks to the use of the right mixture (often nanotechnology), even in difficult weather conditions, there will be no problems with this phenomenon. It is worth adding that the use of such a substance is not problematic. Just apply it to the cleaned glass, wait a while and lightly polish it with a soft cloth.

The smell of winter? Not always pleasant…

Rain and snow mean that we have to travel on wet surfaces for many days. Our clothes also absorb more volatile substances (that unfortunate, broadly understood smog), which are difficult to fight. All this makes it easier for various dirt to mix, which may also have an unpleasant odor and remain for a longer time in the cabins of our cars. And here it is worth mentioning products that absorb unwanted odors. The oils contained in them neutralize compounds and can get rid of them for many months. They can be much more efficient than all kinds of half-measures that we want to use without having the appropriate knowledge and equipment.

What about the upholstery?

If small stains appear in winter, it is not worth doing a complete wash on your own - then the issue of moisture will return. However, you can treat it point by point, i.e. clean the upholstered area where the dirt occurred. It is necessary to use appropriate means - usually for classic fabrics or leather.

The preparations may have appropriate tips for penetrating fabrics or require the use of a sponge/cloth. In both cases, you must maintain the appropriate force - it is not worth over-pressing the material to avoid damaging it. It is also crucial to collect the dirt pulled out by the substances. As in other cases, you should collect everything carefully so that the drying time is as short as possible. When the temperature is around 0 degrees, it is not as fast a process as we might think.

It doesn't always have to be expensive

Complete upholstery washing and interior cleaning can amount to several hundred zlotys. These are not cheap things… Investing in measures to keep your cabin in good condition (for the long term) can be much more affordable. These types of products offered by Moje Auto cost on average PLN 20-30 per piece and are available at any time. Yes, they require user intervention, but the satisfaction of getting rid of the problem yourself and saving a few zlotys fully compensate it.
